The MHS Drumline provides an opportunity for students to develop their life and musical skills through the art of percussion performance. This program hopes to instill a strong sense of leadership, work ethic, personal growth, perseverance, music appreciation, and self-confidence through the pursuit of excellence.
Every member of the MHS Drumline is expected to become a leader!
Being a member of the MHS Drumline requires students to be dedicated, diligent, and hard-working. This program is a big commitment and its very important that all students participate to the best of their abilities!
DRUMLINE BOOTCAMP
Drumline Bootcamp is a 5-day summer camp that takes place two weeks before the start of the school year (week before Band Camp). During this time, we will work on learning marching techniques, cadences, and marching music for the upcoming football season.
2025-2026 DATES: Monday, July 21st - Friday, July 25th
REMINDER -- to be a member of the MHS Drumline, attendance at both weeks of summer band camp is mandatory. In addition to this, the drumline audition is also required (takes places on the 1st day of Drumline Bootcamp). The drumline audition includes an etude on your chosen instrument, sight reading on your chosen instrument, and a mallet etude. All three make up the audition score and are required!
